Outlaw X is set to go ahead in North Nottinghamshire on 27 September. It’s the only one of the five Outlaw Triathlon Series events that has survived coronavirus event cancellations and demand for entries was such that it’s sold out other than charity slots.

The field looks impressive with top age group athletes as well as a handful of pro entires taking the opportunity to test themselves on the middle-distance course – course record bonuses apply, but for most, enjoyment will be the key after so long without any events.

The Thoresby Park venue lends itself to social distancing and additional interventions from organisers, OSB Events, are in place to comply with British Triathlon guidance. The event will see around 1400 competitors start in time trial format and will feature possibly the most spacious transition ever seen! Race packs are being posted rather than collected, race briefings are online, but the event will retain the athlete focused approach that Outlaw is renowned for.

There will be some creative touches to ensure that competitors have everything they need on the day, and spectators will be able to enjoy the spectacle as the park is fully open.
