British Triathlon is pleased to share its guidance for clubs, coaches and event organisers to support the return to swim, bike, run events and activities in England.

From Monday 13 July, event organisers in England can apply to British Triathlon for a permit, with permitted events being able to take place from Saturday 25 July.

Event organisers of all sizes will be required to demonstrate that they are able to deliver their event in a Covid-19 Secure manner.

British Triathlon has created detailed event permitting requirements to guide organisers and facilities in running activity within government guidelines and with social distancing and hygiene measures in place. Event Organisers can find information about the requirement in the Event Organiser System.

From Saturday 18 July, clubs and coaches can organise activities for more than six people in England, provided they do so in a Covid-19 Secure manner. Comprehensive guidance is available on the British Triathlon website for clubs and coaches LINK.

Andy Salmon, Chief Executive of British Triathlon said: “I am delighted that we are able to resume swim, bike, run activity in England over the coming weeks and look forward to supporting clubs and event organisers to deliver safe and exciting events.

“We hope to see a similar relaxation of restrictions in Scotland and Wales in the near future.”

Events in Scotland and Wales are not currently able to take place, but both home nations continue to work with their respective governments to ensure a safe return to activity as soon as conditions allow.
