British Triathlon ‘announce’ new kit supplier? Descente…

Descente to provide British Triathlon kit from 2017?

You may well have spotted, as we did, that the announcement of the new Mixed Relay Cup Nottingham this week also appeared to provide confirmation of the new apparel supplier for British Triathlon.

While we fully expect a full announcement very soon, it would appear that Descente (www.descente.com) are set to take over from ZEROD (or is it Z3R0D?!), who have been the suppliers since 2013.

Descente are the title sponsors of the London Duathlon, so this news if – as seems certain – once confirmed would suggest that the Japanese brand, perhaps better recognised for its popularity in skiing, is serious about the Triathlon market.

Descente have a flagship store in Carnaby Street, London, and also currently sponsor London 2012 Gold medallist, Nicola Spirig, and the Swiss National Team.

We fully expect confirmation – and perhaps some images of the kit the extensive GB Age-Group team will be racing in through 2017? – very soon….
