SIS to fuel British Triathlon

Science in Sport plc (AIM: SIS), a leading sports nutrition company that develops, manufactures and markets sports nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts, announces it is the Official Sports Nutrition Supplier to British Triathlon, and will supply British Triathletes across both the Olympic and Paralympic National Lottery Funded Programmes.

The supplier deal will see SiS working closely with British Triathletes, Performance, and Nutrition staff. SiS will support the Great Britain Triathlon and Paratriathlon Teams as they start their journey to 2020. The Great British Triathlon Team will work directly with SiS and its team of sports nutrition experts to create bespoke nutritional strategies to fuel their world-class athletes. Nutrition plans will be tailored for each individual athlete and will include a wide range of SiS products, including the Company’s isotonic GO Gels for energy, REGO Rapid Recovery to aid recovery after exercise and innovative WHEY20 protein product.

In addition to the British Triathlon Team SiS will engage with a growing audience of over 80,000 triathletes across our event portfolio and the British Triathlon Federation databases. Triathletes will benefit from exclusive offers from SiS, as well as nutritional guidance for all levels of triathlete.

SiS Chief Executive Stephen Moon commented:

“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with the British Triathlon Federation in the lead up to Tokyo 2020 and are looking forward to supporting not only the elite teams, but also the substantial audience of amateur triathlon competitors. We are now official nutrition partner to four national governing bodies around the world and this is testament to the quality of our science and innovation capability, product superiority and our best in class approach to banned substance testing.”

British Triathlon Chief Executive Officer, Jack Buckner, said:

“We are thrilled to confirm this partnership with industry leaders SiS. Nutrition is an integral and critical component of every athlete’s success and the SiS world-renowned experts ensure the Great Britain team is in great hands.

“With our elite athletes having the opportunity to work alongside SiS staff to tailor their own plans, and all our Home Nation Members having access to the SiS expertise, we look forward to seeing all our triathletes achieve their very best.”
