INCUS PERFORMANCE PARTNER WITH CLAIRE CASHMORE ON HER ROAD TO BECOME PARALYMPIC CHAMPION

INCUS Performance and Claire Cashmore begin a relationship in which she will use the INCUS  | NOVA tool to aid her training and racing ahead of the postponed Tokyo Paralympics 2021, in which she will aim to win her 9th Paralympic medal.

INCUS Performance are delighted to announce the start of a long-term partnership with Claire Cashmore, a talented multisport athlete based in Loughborough, UK. Originally a swimmer Claire has competed in 4 paralympic games and won 8 medals, including a Gold and Silver medal at Rio 2016. After these games, Claire decided to transfer her talent to the sport of triathlon and has been an increasingly successful competitor ever since. In 2019 she became both a British and ITU World Champion in paratriathlon, following victories in her PTS5 classification races.

Claire will be using the NOVA to help assess her swim and run performance over the hard months of training in the build up to the postponed Paralympic Games in Tokyo, August 2021. With a long standing background as an elite swimmer, the data analytics that the INCUS | NOVA provide will allow her to refine her stroke to become more efficient and consolidate her strengths in the water. She will also be able to use the running integrations, launching September 2020, to build upon her rapidly improving run to put her in the best possible shape come race day.

Claire is really excited to join up with the INCUS Performance team, and she said, “INCUS are a brilliant and fun team to work with. The data I’m collecting from training with the device is helping me to build a clearer picture of what my body is doing underwater. I can’t wait to put the running data to use in the new update, to help me in the build up towards Tokyo 2021“

James Purnell, Sales and Marketing lead at INCUS Performance told us “Partnering with Claire is really exciting for us here at INCUS, we can’t wait to see what gains she’ll make after using the INCUS | NOVA for a solid winter of training ahead of the biggest race of her triathlon career in 2021. Not only is she a great athlete, but she’s a bubbly and fun personality and we’re incredibly happy to have her as part of the team.”
