The countdown to the 2023 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona hotted up on Thursday when the stars of a stellar field took to the stage in Hawaii for the pre-race press conference.

Ten of the world’s finest triathletes answered questions from the assembled global media and you can watch every second of it without leaving TRI247.

Can Taylor Knibb strike gold on her Big Island debut? Can Daniela Ryf claim a sixth world title? Can Lucy Charles-Barclay finally make the top step of the podium after four second-place finishes? Can Chelsea Sodaro defend the title she won so spectacularly in 2022?

So many questions, and so many enticing storylines. It should be an absolute classic with a string of superstar women all with legitimate victory hopes.
