IRONMAN announced yesterday their plans to cover the brand new IRONMAN Pro Series in 2024, which will see the best athletes in the world compete throughout the season for the end-of-year title.
The series, which includes six full distance races, ten middle distance races, plus the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, will be broadcast for free across the world.
Next weekend, the series will kick off at IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside, which has already released a stacked start list for both the professional men and women.
Worldwide broadcast throughout the series
Continuing their partnership with Outside, IRONMAN Pro Series events will be available to watch exclusively on the website in both Canada and the USA, with on-demand playback available on Outside+.
Internationally, viewers will be able to tune in across multiple platforms, including on the dedicated IRONMAN Pro Series website, DAZN and L’Equipe for triathlon fans in France.
Julia Polloreno, the VP for Content Production and Distribution at The IRONMAN Group, was full of excitement for what lies ahead with the broadcast this season.
“We are thrilled to showcase the new IRONMAN Pro Series to such a wide audience across so many platforms this year. The broadcast programming will bring viewers closer than ever to their favourite athletes and enable fans from around the globe to experience all the excitement that is the IRONMAN Pro Series.
“We are expecting to see some amazing performances and unforgettable moments this year and can’t wait to kick off coverage with the always popular Athletic Brewing IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside triathlon.”
Hosts confirmed for 2024 season
In 2024, the race coverage will again be complemented by the classic pre-race show, hosted by IRONMAN World Champions and Hall of Famers Greg Welch and Michellie Jones.
Joining the pair on comms will be three-time IRONMAN World Champion Mirinda Carfrae, IRONMAN Champions Michael Lovato and Dede Griesbauer, plus British professional full distance athlete Laura Siddall.
As always, Matt Lieto will be back to provide on the ground analysis in 2024, with various guest commentators scheduled for several of the races. You can find the full schedule for the 2024 IRONMAN Pro Series below.
