It is clearly schedule release season in elite triathlon and the IRONMAN Pro Series is the latest off the rank after its 2025 schedule hit the presses on Wednesday.
Following the surprise T100 announcement on Tuesday, IRONMAN went to market a few hours later with its own version of an elite pro series – which in 2025 will feature 18 events in 17 locations.
Next year’s list will include 6 full-distance IRONMAN events and 8 over the 70.3 distance – plus both the men’s and women’s Pro races at the IRONMAN World Championships and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.
As with this year, athletes are competing year round not just for race prize money, but for ranking points which put them in the mix for a share of a $1.7million end-of-year prize pool.
Some of the key notes on the 2025 schedule include the UK getting a Pro Series race for the first time with IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea on the list on July 13. IRONMAN South Africa also makes the cut for the first time on March 30.
