The T100 Triathlon World Tour makes its first stop in Europe this weekend, as the series stops in the British capital for the first time ever with the brand new London T100.

Home talents such as Lucy Charles-Barclay, Kat Matthews and India Lee will take on a world-class field later today (Saturday July 27), which includes triathlon megastars such as Anne Haug and Chelsea Sodaro.

In our preview piece below, you can find everything you need to know about the women’s race, including start times, how to watch live and who to keep an eye on. The men’s preview can be found here.

Start times and how to watch live

In London, the women’s race will be held today – Saturday July 27. The live broadcast will begin at 13:45 local time, with the gun going off at 14:00. This corresponds to 15:00 in Europe, 09:00 on the East Coast and 06:00 on the West Coast.

It’s embedded below so you don’t have to leave this page.

The broadcast is also available globally on PTO+, on Discovery+ in Europe, on YouTube (outside Europe) or via regional broadcasters (see the full list on the T100 website).

And it will be available on various athlete YouTube channels as it won’t be on Eurosport given their blanket coverage of the Olympics.

Pro Women – Who is racing?

Reigning IRONMAN World Champion Charles-Barclay will be amongst the favourites to win a first PTO race on Saturday, and will have the backing of the home crowd to help her on her way.

After finishing second in Miami and Singapore, the 30-year-old skipped San Francisco to race IRONMAN Nice, which she duly won, validating her slot to the world championship in September.

Up against the likes of Haug – who she shares a coach with – and other Nice contenders such as Matthews and German Laura Philipp this weekend, London could also offer her the opportunity to get one over her rivals before the big dance in September.

Other athletes with half an eye on Nice include Miami winner India Lee, former IRONMAN World Champion Chelsea Sodaro and French rising star Marjolaine Pierre, who made an incredible debut over the distance last year at IRONMAN Portugal.

In addition to those names, athletes who are fully focused on the T100 Tour, such as Australian Ashleigh Gentle and Britain’s South African based star Emma Pallant-Browne, will be ready to take their opportunity to win big in London.

Coldwell steps up

Perhaps one of the most interesting athletes to keep an eye on this weekend will be someone with no experience over the 100km distance. Sophie Coldwell, who received a wildcard after missing out on the Paris Olympic team, is brilliant across the board and will step up to the middle distance for the first time ever.

Other dark horses include Danish talent Laura Madsen, who finished ninth in San Francisco, and Britain’s Lucy Byram, who has had a quiet season so far by her standards but still managed to finish sixth and seventh in the opening two rounds of the tour.

Whatever ends up happening on race day, there is a real chance that the home crowd will be cheering on a British winner on Saturday, with five of the Top 10 ranked athletes representing the Union Jack.

Prize Money and Points

Racing for a total prize purse of $250,000, plus valuable T100 Tour points, there is plenty at stake. On race day, the winners will take home $25,000 and 35 points, with the prize money and points for each position outlined below.
