Unfinished T100 business for LCB

T100 was the focal point of the 2024 season for 31-year-old Lucy, and she started the tour off in strong fashion with a pair of second place finishes in Miami and Singapore before disaster struck in London.

Charles-Barclay felt something in her Achilles and was forced to DNF for the first time in her career.

She recovered in time to defend her IRONMAN World Championship in Nice. However, on her Friday shakeout ahead of the race the British star suffered a type 1C calf strain, ending her title hopes.

LCB will join a star-studded roster for the T100 Triathlon World Tour. IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion and T100 Grand Final victor Taylor Knibb has been unstoppable as of late over the middle-distance.

Ashleigh Gentle is another strong contender, she claimed victories in Singapore and London last year. India Lee, Julie Derron, Flora Duffy and Kat Matthews are other big names who will have their say during the campaign.

Geens keen to ruffle T100 feathers

On the men’s side, it is IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Geens who is the final name on the 20-strong male contracted list.

Perhaps the breakout star of the 2024 season Geens. who boasts ambitions of becoming IRONMAN World Champion in Kona in 2026, claimed a T100 race victory on his only appearance in Lake Las Vegas.

The impressive campaign improved the his PTO ranking from #298 at the end of the 2022 season to #4 by the conclusion of 2024. He also ranks as the fourth fastest runner in terms of PTO metrics.

Geens will do battle with the likes of 2024 Series champion Martin van Riel, ‘The Big Unit’ Sam Long, New Zealand talent Kyle Smith and a strong German squad including Rico Bogen and Mika Noodt.
