Commonwealth Games triathlon picks: Tim Don & Ian Dempsey

News Director

Tim Don and Ian Dempsey of Halo ID join us again, but this week there’s a twist.

Rather than looking back at the weekend’s action, they’re here to preview two mouth-watering races that kick off the Commonwealth Games on Friday.

In the men’s race at 1101BST it’s Alex Yee v Hayden Wilde, while the big clash at 1431BST in the women’s race is Olympic champion Flora Duffy against Georgia Taylor-Brown, who chased her home in Tokyo.

Inside knowledge

But is that how they see it? You’ll have to watch the video below to find out – all we’ll say for now is that neither of them reckon Duffy will be in the top two.

And there are some great insights on the swim, bike and run courses from Birmingham-based Dempsey, who has raced them all. Enjoy!
