GB Elite Triathlete Tom Bishop and HUUB announce 10-year partnership that will see the athlete race for the brand for the rest of his career

Tom Bishop, one of Great Britain’s top elite triathletes, has committed to his role as an ambassador and sponsored athlete with leading international triathlon and cycling brand HUUB for the remainder of his career.

Having represented the nation over 70 times at Olympic and middle triathlon distances; and a member of the UK Sport Lottery Funded British Triathlon Squad, Tom has worked with HUUB ever since he progressed from being a junior to elite triathlete in 2013.

“HUUB have been an extraordinary partner for me throughout my career. To know that over the next ten years I will race the remainder of my professional career with them is extraordinary, said Tom. “I love my sport and can’t wait to drive for success on all of its most famous stages be that at the Olympics or the lava fields of Kona and the IRONMAN World Championships, as well as legendary races like Challenge Roth, Alcatraz and eventually even Xtreme triathlons like the Norseman.”

Tom, who was a reserve at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and in 2017 achieved his first World Championship Series podium in Abu Dhabi, is training to make selection for the 2021 Tokyo team, with the final decision being made in June. In the future Tom plans for further success on the World Triathlon (previously ITU) circuit, to compete at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games before stepping up to 70.3 (half) and Ironman triathlon racing.

Dean Jackson, founder and owner of HUUB comments; “Partnering with Tom for the rest of his career was a natural step for HUUB. As Tom and HUUB are both based in the same city, we’ve known and worked together from HUUB’s first day – and what better way to reward that relationship, than seeing our support run through to the end of Tom’s career. He has consistently performed as one of the top GB athletes on the global stage, but has also very much become part of the HUUB family. We want to forge partnerships driven by more than just results, but also shared values and contribution. We can’t wait to see him succeed through his Olympic, Commonwealth and Ironman ambitions.”

Tom is currently ranked in the top 75 ITU Athletes in the world and is tipped to form part of the strong British Triathlon team in Tokyo this summer. He is likely to return to racing in May at the Olympic qualification events.
