More information on new ‘Southern’ Outlaw Half

Outlaw Triathlon organisers, OSB Events, have hinted at a new ‘southern’ Outlaw Half event to take place next September. The plan was to have this new event live to enter this month. However, the best laid plans don’t always come off… but here’s an update.

OSB hinted about a new Half event earlier in the summer. A venue had been selected and the plan was to open entries this month. However, when an event passes through multiple boroughs and towns, it’s never going to be straight forward to get approval from every single one. They’ve are also come up against ancient covenants around noise, and multiple considerations for the impact on local residents.

Iain Hamilton, OSB Director, said: “We are 100% committed to getting the race up and running for 2018. We are looking at either the first or the fourth weekend of September and the venue is west of London. We can’t say more than that until contracts are signed.”

He added: “We hope to be in a position to announce the venue by the end of November, but there are a few factors that are out of our control at the moment. Certainly, we’d hope to have the event open before Christmas.”

Potential event dates are either 2nd or 23rd September 2018.

Although places are sold out for the Outlaw Half Nottingham, there are still places available for Outlaw Half Holkham (1 July) and the full distance Outlaw Triathlon (29 July).

A new payment plan option has been introduced for the Outlaw whereby athletes can make a down payment now to reserve their place, and pay the balance next year. For information on this visit HERE.
