Ship My Tri Bike merges with TriBike Transport

Ship My Tri Bike and TriBike Transport, leading providers of bike transport to the biggest cycling and triathlon events in the world, are to merge
Last updated -

Ship My Tri Bike becomes part of TriBike Transport Europe, an official partner of IRONMAN® Europe

Ship My Tri Bike and TriBike Transport of Asheville, NC, leading providers of bike transport to the biggest cycling and triathlon events in the world, today announce that the two companies are to merge. Ship My Tri Bike will now operate the UK and Ireland division of ‘TriBike Transport Europe’. The partnership is effective as of the 20th of March 2019 with TriBike Transport Europe also becoming an official partner of IRONMAN® Europe.

Previous to this partnership Ship My Tri Bike provided a bike transport solution to the Irish and UK market that allowed cyclists and triathletes to travel to major events throughout continental Europe without having to transport their bike through an airline. In recent years athletes have started to travel further afield and a demand for this service, especially IRONMAN® races in the US, is growing exponentially. A key player in this US and global market are TriBike Transport who have shipped over 100,000 bikes from North America and Mexico to races throughout the world and have been an official partner of IRONMAN® North America, as well as the IRONMAN® World Championships.

“Today we celebrate a significant milestone in the development of our business and the service we provide” says David Sheridan, Owner and Managing Director of Ship My Tri Bike. He went on to say: “We were approached by TriBike Transport in 2018 with a test project to ship bikes from the UK and Ireland to the IRONMAN® World Championships in Kona. Given the huge success of this test project we have made the strategic decision to become part of the TriBike Transport family”. Finally, he added: “We are really excited to work alongside the Spanish division of TriBike Transport Europe to serve an expanding customer base in the UK, Ireland and Spain.”

TriBike Transport Europe will continue to run and serve its loyal UK and Ireland customer base for all scheduled 2019 events. All customers who have made a booking to date through Ship My Tri Bike will not be affected and services will run as normal. TriBike Transport Europe will also maintain a strong relationship with Nirvana Europe with the goal of continuing to provide the best travel and accommodation package to our customers.

TriBike Transport Europe will initially offer service to triathletes living in the UK, Ireland, and Spain, but plans to continue growing to serve the entire European market. In addition to this, we are excited to reveal that plans are currently being developed to operate a weekly bike transfer service to the island of Mallorca starting in 2020 during the busy cycling season. This will allow the countless number of cycling groups who enjoy this cycling paradise each year a hassle-free way of getting their bike to and from the island.

Globally, TriBike Transport’s goal is to offer our HASSLE-FREE, ECONOMICAL, UNPARALLELED bike shipping service to every triathlete and cyclist racing, training, or riding abroad.
