Who qualified for Kona at IRONMAN Wales 2017?

Ironman Wales 2017 was one of the first opportunities for Age-Group athletes to qualify for the 2018 Ironman World Championships, and thus provides more than a year to plan and train for their Kona races.

Given the conditions on the day (report HERE), anyone who secured a spot has thoroughly earned it the hard way.

There were an increased (from 40) 65 Age-Group qualifying places for Kona at Tenby for 2017, and here is the full list of those athletes that accepted their places for the Ironman World Championship in October 2018.

Congratulations to all of you who secured your coveted slots for Hawaii.
