STRENGTH. ENDURANCE. PERFORMANCE.

There can be no doubt now that Georgia Taylor-Brown is well and truly back.

The British superstar endured a painful 2023 both physically and mentally, as a calf tear derailed her season while domestic problems off the track also took a heavy toll.

Now though GTB appears to be right back to her brilliant best, off the back of three consecutive supertri victories. She leads the series after Sunday’s sensational win in Toulouse, which followed on from earlier successes in Chicago and London.

While local favourite Cassandre Beaugrand was disqualified in her first appearance on home soil since that Olympics glory day in Paris in July, GTB was dominating at the head of the field. She would eventually take the tape in front of US star Taylor Spivey and fellow Brit Kate Waugh.

Macca says GTB is simply the best

GTB’s Crown Racing team manager, two-time IRONMAN World Champion Chris McCormack, was left raving about his star athlete’s form after the race, and he topped his comments with the highest of praise.

“Georgia [Taylor-Brown] is a real leader of our women’s squad, and the rest of the squad look to her for guidance. Georgia’s dominance reminds me of Katie Zaferes, who’s now retiring after an amazing career where she dominated this series, and she’s the best triathlete on the planet right now.”

As for Georgia herself, she is now racing full of confidence, as evidenced by one crucial pre-race decision that she believes paid off.

GTB wants more

“When you’re at the top and winning, you definitely want more. That’s three wins going into the final in NEOM and I feel quite happy and safe.”

“I told myself I’d go for a non-wetsuit [first swim] ahead of the race and I stuck to that. I knew it was going to be cold and that I’d lose time, but I’m happy with that decision.”
