Olympic Games Triathlon results: Full finishing order and times for epic men’s race at Paris 2024

The men’s individual race at Paris 2024 could not have been more epic as Alex Yee was crowned Olympic Games triathlon champion in the French capital on Wednesday (July 31).

The British star looked beaten with just one 2.5km lap of the run course remaining as New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde appeared to be cruising to a spectacular victory after a fascinating race.

But then the 26-year-old from London produced the most astonishing final surge to blow past the Kiwi and shatter his golden dreams in the process. Yee it was who instead crossed the line first to claim a spectacular gold medal victory.

But the dramatic action up front was just part of the story with 55 of the world’s best short-course athletes all playing their part in an enthralling spectacle which played out on an iconic course in front of passionate crowds.

After all the furore around that controversial water quality in the River Seine, this was the day where triathlon was king, producing the spectacle and drama which makes it such an amazing sport.

It’s time to look at the full finishing order from Wednesday’s race – including the man who was dethroned as Olympic champion, 2021 Tokyo hero Kristian Blummenfelt.

Fastest Splits

Alex Yee clinched victory with the fastest run split of the day, a breathless 29:47, just ahead of Wilde’s gallant 29:49. Only the first three home broke the 30-minute barrier.

Earlier in the race Csongor Lehmann (HUN) and Charles Paquet (CAN) had both stopped the clock at 51:16 on the bike. Italy’s Alessio Crociani (20:10) was fastest out of the water.
