Jeanne Lehair insists she isn’t feeling the pressure to land her first Supertri League title thanks to the experience she has gained in the last couple of years.
Luxembourg star Lehair has notched back-to-back victories in Chicago and Jersey to set herself up to finally land the title she has been so close to in her hometown of Toulouse on Sunday (5th October).
However, the Podium Racing star is taking nothing for granted after a run of bad luck stories when it has mattered most. She failed to finish the Toulouse race in both 2023 and 2024, having been disqualified for an unclipped helmet and the next year suffering a puncture.
She also led the overall League standings heading into the finale in NEOM two years ago, but didn’t convert as Georgia Taylor-Brown – who is one of three athletes within three points of Lehair ahead of this year’s Grand Final – swooped for the title.
All to play for
Lehair said: “I was leading before NEOM two years ago and I didn’t win. I was very stressed that time because it was the first time ever I was in the situation so I think I learned from that and now I try and stay easy-peasy.
“It is a bonus for me and I think if it’s going well then good, going bad then sad, but after last year in Toulouse I prefer to not put any goals because you never know what can happen. Last year it was pretty bad so I want to finish the race first.”

Lehair’s Podium Racing teammate Léonie Périault is two points adrift in second place heading into Toulouse and knows a win would see her inflict more heartache, while Taylor-Brown, the only athlete to win three Supertri League titles, and Jolien Vermeylen sit a further point back.
Taylor-Brown hasn’t been on the very top of her game after the best part of a year out of the sport, but has really started to come good just in time for Toulouse. The Crown Racing athlete is also canny enough to know how to get it done.
Taylor-Brown said: “I have to try and play to my strengths. I know I don’t have the run speed against these girls and also the transition speed. I have to do my best to get rid of them on the bike. I failed in Jersey but I did thin the field out and there were only three of us left.
“There are three points in it, but I just have to play to my strengths. I really like the Toulouse course. It’s got the little hill in there which I can try and attack and it’s technical again.”
The title permutations
- If either Jeanne Lehair or Léonie Périault win in Toulouse then they will win the title.
- Périault must finish ahead of Lehair to have a chance of winning the title.
- Georgia Taylor-Brown and Jolien Vermeylen need to finish one place ahead of Périault and two places ahead of Lehair to win the title.
- If Fanni Szalai wins in Toulouse she needs Lehair to finish 5th or worse, and for Périault, Taylor-Brown and Verymeylen to finish 4th or worse.
