VIRIDIAN DAVENTRY TRIATHLON LAUNCHES 2019 ENTRY WITH GREAT EARLY-BIRD DISCOUNT

Give your New Year fitness goals a boost and catch the proverbial worm with Rugby Triathlon Club’s ‘early-bird’ entry discount for its Viridian Daventry Triathlon which will take place on Sunday, September 8th, 2019.

An £8 discount on the standard individual entry fee is on offer until midnight February 14th – now there’s no excuses for not knowing what to get your Valentine!

In its eighth year, the Viridian Daventry Triathlon welcomes novices and more experienced triathletes to a great local sprint distance race which offers challenges to all, not least the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at breaking the course record of 55:04 (Jack Bond, 2015) or 1:04:58 (Emily Whitmore, 2012)

Rugby Triathlon Club’s Race Director Matt Hayward said: “We are pleased to open race-entry much earlier this year and to be able to offer a significant early-bird entry discount. This should encourage people to fix the date in their diaries right from the start of the year. It will also enable us to boost our fundraising for our two chosen charities Bloodwise and Children’s Christmas Wishlist. We are also very proud that local Daventry business, Viridian Nutrition has decided to back our event for the fourth year.”

This 400m pool-based sprint race starts in the Daventry Leisure Centre, offers a great 20km cycle section through the local Northamptonshire countryside and a scenic 5km run around Daventry Country Park. There will be road closures for the finish area, a t-shirt, an iconic medal for all finishers and age category prizes.
