TI 'Master Coach' Ian Smith has recently been appointed as the new Head Coach of Total Immersion Swimming Ltd here in the UK. Ian has been a swimming teacher and coach for around 18 years and is TI's most senior 'British' coach, having attended his first training course with TI's Head Coach, Terry Laughlin, in June of 2000. Ian was already ASA Level 3 Coach qualified and the head coach of an age group team for a number of years. He is a full time swimming teacher who specialises in re-tooling the swimming strokes of an eclectic mix of swimmers, including a significant number of triathletes, at his Loughborough swim studio, SwimShack: www.swimshack.co.uk

For the immediate future, Ian will be leading at all the upcoming TI workshops, assisted by a small group of well trained and very experienced TI coaches. He is on the look out for teachers/coaches who would want to train up to become Total Immersion swimming teachers/coaches.
