I recently wrote an Editorial piece about professional triathlon teams, which followed the announcement in January of a new initiative: the Trek / K-Swiss Triathlon Team.

As you read this, I will likely be several thousand feet up in the air on the way to Abu Dhabi, for the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon where several members of the Trek / K•Swiss Triathlon Team will be racing. Many would consider Julie Dibens to be favourite in the ladies race, while just last week, Phil Graves selected Joe Gambles as the man to beat. Will they get their first big win on the emirate? Or maybe two...!

Fraser Cartmell (GBR) and Heather Jackson (USA) from the team will also be racing the 3k / 200k / 20k event.
