WTCS Pontevedra takes centre stage again later today (Sunday September 24) as the world’s best Elite Women battle for world title glory in the 2023 Grand Final.

Cassandre Beaugrand and Beth Potter are set to face off in a bid to end the season on top of the standings, and they will face a stellar field with pretty much everybody who is anybody in short-course racing on the start line.

It promises to be quite the event and we have all the detail on who is racing, and who is not.

Start time and how to watch live

The race for Elite Women starts at 1630 local time on Sunday September 24 in northwest Spain. That is 1530 UK time, 1030 on the East Coast of the United States and 0730 PST.

Who is NOT racing at WTCS Pontevedra

The list of absentees are headed by the gold and silver medallists from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 – Bermuda’s golden hero Flora Duffy (knee) and Britain’s second-placed finisher Georgia Taylor-Brown. Also not starting in Pontevedra is IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Taylor Knibb, who booked her Paris 2024 spot at the recent Test Event in the French capital.
