Nirvana Europe announce Emma Pallant as ambassador

Silver medallist that the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in 2017, Great Britain's Emma Pallant will have her path to this years championship in South Africa eased by a partnership with Nirvana Europe
Last updated -

Nirvana Europe are delighted to announce a partnership with Emma Pallant for the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Former European Under-23 Cross Country champion, Emma Pallant, burst onto the Triathlon scene in 2013 and has already shown huge promise with a great deal of success. In 2016, Emma not only became a two-time ITU Duathlon World Champion but also won IRONMAN 70.3 UK and reached the podium at no less than six IRONMAN .70.3 races.

Despite her 2018 season starting with the disappointment of having to pull out of IRONMAN South Africa due to injury, her rehabilitation and increased training regime has only heightened her motivation for her main target of the season, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in South Africa. Since finishing fourth at The Championship in Samorin, Emma’s form has only been on an upward trajectory with wins at the Barcelona 70.3 and most recently 70.3 Staffordshire. A podium place at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships, to add to her Silver medal from 2017, looks a realistic target.

The pinnacle of the IRONMAN 70.3 calendar takes place on Saturday 1st September, 2018 and Sunday 2nd September, 2018 and is the first time that an IRONMAN World Championship event will be held on the African continent. Regarded as “The Friendly City,” and the “watersport capital of Africa” Port Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela Bay was founded in 1820 and has steadily grown into an economic hub of more than 300,000 inhabitants.

On joining Nirvana Europe as an ambassador, Emma said: “I’m looking forward to working with Nirvana over the coming season, they allow me to forget about the logistics of travelling with my kit and focus on the most important part, the race. It really takes the stress out of triathlon travel, especially when I’m travelling without my team.”

Nirvana, Official Travel Partner to IRONMAN Europe, will be offering athletes and spectators a variety of travel and accommodation options for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. As well as assisting on your journey to the finish line, Nirvana will also provide the opportunity to experience the beauty and grandeur of a Safari if you are looking to extend you stay after the Championships.

Chris Ward, Head of Communications at Nirvana Europe commented:

“Emma Pallant is the embodiment of a Nirvana Europe athlete. With a likely podium position at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships, Emma’s life is rightfully revolving around a tough training schedule. We are excited have Emma on board as a Nirvana Europe Ambassador and assist her with her travel plans to the World Championships.”
