Pelotan to partner with Outlaw Triathlon

Cycling focused sun protection brand Pelotan has announced it will enter the triathlon market in 2019, launching with a three-year partnership with the award-winning Outlaw series.

Fresh from the news that all-conquering Team Sky will use Pelotan sun protection in the 2019 season, Pelotan have set their sights on the triathlon market and will be Outlaw’s official sun protection partner until 2022.

Iain Hamilton, Event Director at Outlaw said: “Outlaws have raced through a few heat waves during our ten years. Sun protection is a really important thing to think about during training and on race day and we’re pleased to be working with Pelotan, who have been protecting cyclists at all levels and bring that experience with them. They’ll be sampling, selling and helping to protect athletes throughout the season and we’re looking forward to three years of Pelotan bringing the sunshine to the Outlaw events.”

Tom Austen, Director at Pelotan said: “Having demonstrated the importance of high-performance sun protection to cyclists of all levels, we are delighted to be moving into the triathlon market in 2019. As a once a day, sweat and water-resistant product which has been laboratory tested as lasting up to 8 hours at SPF30, Pelotan is ideal to meet the unique challenges faced by triathletes in both training and competition. As winner of 220 Triathlon’s Event of the Year in seven of the past eight years and with a unique and welcoming culture that has been enjoyed by first timers and world champions alike, Outlaw was an obvious partner for us and we’re really excited about working with them to protect triathletes and, ultimately, help to improve performance and recovery.”

To celebrate, Pelotan are giving away an entry to the sold-out Nottingham Outlaw Half, along with a goodie bag to help with training. Find out more and enter at www.pelotan.cc/triathlon
