YELLOW JERSEY INSURANCE LAUNCH PARTNERSHIP WITH NIRVANA

Yellow Jersey Insurance has agreed an insurance partnership with global event travel company Nirvana to support their insurance offering to customers.

On 1 December 2017, Yellow Jersey became Nirvana’s sole insurance supplier, supplying Nirvana customers with a range of insurance services including race fee cancellation, bicycle and travel insurance.

Nirvana specialise in organising bespoke travel, accommodation, race entry and logistics for athletes travelling across the world to take part in a range of sporting events, but with a focus on Ironman and ITU triathlon events.

The partnership is a positive move forward for both businesses. For Nirvana it allows the business to add value for their customers by giving them access to market leading insurance cover, allowing Nirvana to focus on providing world class travel experiences. After three years of experience of supplying athletes with insurance to allow them to race worldwide, Yellow Jersey Insurance has expanded its product portfolio to include insurance for the wider sports travel industry.

Yellow Jersey will be offering Nirvana customers event fee cancellation insurance (which is included in Nirvana’s Ironman packages), optional bicycle insurance if they are travelling to a triathlon or duathlon, travel insurance for a wide range of worldwide sporting events as well as looking after Nirvana’s commercial insurance.

Ryan Georgiades, MD of Yellow Jersey said: “We’ve known the guys at Nirvana since we launched as we are both partners of British Triathlon and we’ve been talking regularly about how we could make things easier for Nirvana customers to get the best insurance for their races. To be able to purchase the necessary insurance via their website while they are booking their race package makes everyone’s lives easier and enables us to be front of mind for athletes when they are booking their race. We’re excited to be launching this partnership and look forward to this relationship growing as both businesses expand.”

Jonathan Snodin, Business Development Manager at Nirvana added: “We are constantly looking to improve the service we offer our customers and this partnership with Yellow Jersey is another step in the right direction. The Yellow Jersey team are all potential customers themselves so they get what we do and the importance of taking the stress away when you’re training for big events. Their range of products is exactly what our customers need and they have been able to build policies to match what we’ve been looking for. The last thing our customers need is to be worrying about what ifs when they are travelling to race so it’s great to have Yellow Jersey on board.”
