Reuters is carrying the news that Jane Tomlinson died Monday evening. Well known for her efforts to raise money and awareness of breast cancer through her participation in marathons, triathlons including Ironman UK and long-distance cycle rides, Tomlinson, aged 43 and from Leeds, was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer in 2000 and given six months to live. She single-handedly raised 1.5 million pounds through her efforts during the past six years.
