India Paine
India graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2017 with a Master’s in Magazine Journalism. After travelling the world, she began her writing career not with bib shorts and running shoes, but with denim shorts and high heels at British fashion brand River Island.
A long-time gym-goer, it wasn’t until lockdown that she truly fell in love with running and cycling. Since then, she hasn’t looked back – completing the London Marathon, ultra-marathons, cycling sportives, and functional fitness competitions like Hyrox and Athx.
Keen to combine her passion for fitness with journalism, India joined Rouleur magazine as a writer, where she covered some of cycling’s biggest races, including the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes. In early 2025, she took the leap into freelance life to broaden her focus beyond cycling. Today, she writes for Cycling Weekly, Women’s Running, and now TRI247, covering all things endurance, training, and racing.
When she’s not typing away, you’ll find her in the gym, out on a run, or cycling towards the next best pastry stop.
