World Triathlon have confirmed that the World Triathlon Multisport Championships will return to Spain in 2025, following the success of Ibiza as the host city last season.

This year, the championships will be held in Townsville, Australia on August 15-25, as the event heads to Oceania for the first time since its inception back in 2017.

In 2025, Pontevedra, which hosted the 2023 WTCS Grand Final, will be the venue for the Multisport Championships, with the nine day long event set for June 20-29.

“I really cannot wait to experience it once again”

Having hosted the third edition of the Multisport Championships in 2019, Pontevedra will once again put on the event in 2025. The city, renowned for its close relationship with triathlon, was the perfect choice said World Triathlon President Marisol Casado.
