Wattbike Atom is launched in the USA

It's been part of the European indoor training scene for over two years, but today the Wattbike Atom will be launched to the U.S. market

Wattbike’s Atom finally reaches United States

Launched just over two years ago, today Wattbike (www.wattbike.com) have announced the launch of the product in the United States.

As I’ve said many times over the last few years (is anyone out there still in denial that it’s true?), the world of indoor training is the fastest growing sector in the cycling and triathlon market right now. Developments in eRacing will likely see a huge surge in that area too, over the next couple of years.

This is an interesting move for Wattbike and, if nothing else, would suggest that the logistical and marketing process of providing access to the U.S. market for the Nottingham-based company was not as simple as booking a few UPS couriers or a shipping container and warehouse…

It’s also a hugely exciting, fast-changing and competitive market. Peloton has recently been floated on the US stock market via IPO, plus we’ve seen the recent launch of the Wahoo KICKR BIKE, with other in the market from Tacx, Stages and no doubt other developments to follow sooner, rather than later.

Arguably Wattbike is late to the (U.S.) market, but at the same time it is arriving with a well-established and proven product elsewhere around the world. Interesting times.

Here is the full announcement from Wattbike USA.
