SLT Arena Games Rotterdam powered by Zwift – Paratriathlon

Building on its debut in London three weeks ago, the SLT Arena Games Rotterdam powered by Zwift, also hosted a Paratriathlon event on Sunday, featuring several names that will doubtless be featuring strongly in Tokyo later this season at the Paralympic Games.

Three athletes, Jetze Plat (NED – PTWC), Marget Ijdema (NED – PTWC) and Great Britain’s Michael Taylor (PTS4) completed a London and Rotterdam win-double. Full results HERE.

That will be another confidence and motivation boost for Taylor, who is one of those potentially on the bubble of making selection / securing a high enough ranking to qualify for Tokyo. Currently ranked 12th in the ITU Rankings, finishing ahead of Spain’s Alejandro Sanchez Palomero again (currently #2), won’t impact anything on those measures – but given that selection for the British team will pretty much require the potential to medal, his form will doubtless be welcomed with a smile by Jonathan Riall and his British Paratriathlon coaching team.

Further to my London editorial piece / forecast, the Paratriathlon full race from Rotterdam should be available to watch on the Super League Triathlon YouTube channel soon.
